Creative biography
In 2006 Irina Plotnikova created her own Creative Group Petit Opera (Little Opera) with director Yuri Khochin (1970-2009), conductor Vyacheslav Valeev and artist Maxim Obrezkov
2006 - the opera Didon and Aeneas by G. Purcell was performed at the Meyerhold Center.
2007 - The production of G. Purcell's opera "King Arthur". The performance won the Open Stage Festival at the "On Strastnoy" shopping center in the category "Best Direction".
2008 - Production of G.Purcell's opera "The Queen of Fairies"

From 2006 to 2008 Petit Opera, in addition to producing performances, has been actively performing at various venues in Moscow: the Historical Museum, Manezh, Art Art Art Galleries with concerts of Russian and foreign classical and contemporary opera.
In December 2009 . The performance "Director of the Theater" in Leonid Roberman's entreprise "Art-Partner XXI Century" was released (directed by Dmitry Bertman, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Artistic Director of the Helikon Opera, Irina Plotnikova, Head of the Petit Opera Chamber Ensemble, Maxim Obrezkov, set designer, starring Igor Kostolevsky, Mikhail Filippov, Mikhail Yanushkevich, soloists of the Helikon Opera - Marina Karpechenko, Inna Zvenyatskaya).
March 2010 - the performance "Joyce. All About Ulysses" based on Joyce's novel "Ulysses", with texts by S. Beckett and music by G. Purcell.
June 2010 - the performance "Pierre and Annette", music by contemporary composer Vladimir Kachesov, libretto by Vadim Stepantsov (group "Bakhyt-Kompot") was released.
In 2012 the premiere of the project "The Tempest.Shakespeare-Persell", based on the play "The Tempest" by W. Shakespeare and the opera "The Tempest" by G. Purcell took place. The role of Prospero was performed by Alexey Bagdasarov. In 2013 the play took part in the Golden Mask Festival.
In March 2016 the premiere of L. Cherubini's opera Pygmalion took place at the Helikon Opera Theater. Musical director - Sergey Chechetko, choreographer-director - Ksenia Lisanskaya.
On May 7, 2016 a concert program based on the works of P.I.Tchaikovsky and Shakespeare's sonnets, translated by M.I.Tchaikovsky, was presented at the festival "Spring in Klinu" at the composer's museum on his birthday. Shakespeare's sonnets were performed by Boris Plotnikov, People's Artist of Russia. Arias from Tchaikovsky's operas were performed by soloists of the Helikon Opera Theater: Irina Reynard, Anna Pegova and Dmitry Khromov. The piano part was performed by Sergei Chechetko.
