Musical education
Studied violin at the V. V. Stasov Music School. Graduated from the A. V. Sveshnikov Moscow Choir School. In 1996 he continued his education at the Academy of Choral Art. In 2003 he completed postgraduate studies there (teacher - Dmitry Vdovin).

Creative Biography

In 2002-2003. - Leading soloist at the New Opera Theater in Moscow.
In 2003-2005 he was an artist at the Grand Opera Studio of the Houston Grand Opera (USA).

Since 2003 he has performed on the stages of opera theaters and concert halls in New York, Washington, Houston, Paris, London, Berlin, Barcelona, Madrid, Copenhagen, Cologne, Warsaw, Salzburg, Moscow and others.

Since 2005 Nikolai Didenko has been the artistic director of the charity program "White Steamboat, Singing Rivers of Russia", aimed at creative development and rehabilitation of musically gifted children with disabilities, orphans, children from socially disadvantaged, single-parent, large and low-income families.

In 2013 took part in a production of V. Bellini's opera Somnambula at the Bolshoi Theatre, performing the role of Count Rudolf.
In 2014 he performed the role of Atamansha in the premiere series of performances of the opera The Story of Kai and Gerda by S. Banevich.
In 2016 he took part in the production of G. Donizetti's opera Don Pasquale (title role).

In 2017, Nikolai Didenko was honored with the Grammy Award for Best Choral Performance. He received the award for his performance with the Warsaw National Choir and Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Krzysztof Penderecki.

In 2021 at the Bolshoi Theater took part in the premiere production of the opera "Sadko" by N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov, the role of the Sea Tsar (directed by Dmitry Chernyakov).

In 2023 at the Bolshoi Theater debuted in the opera "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" by N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov.

Nikolai Didenko has performed with outstanding singers including Ramon Vargas, Renée Fleming, Nikolai Giaurov, Mirella Freni, Edita Gruberova, Federica von Stade, Vladimir Galuzin, Maria Gulegina, June Anderson, Bryn Terfel, Matti Salminen, Massimo Giordano, Laura Claycomb and others.
He has collaborated with such conductors as Antonello Allemandi, Patrick Summers, Edoardo Muller, Nello Santi, Marco Armiliato, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Vladimir Spivakov, Rudolf Barshai, Mikhail Pletnev and Gennady Rozhdestvensky.
