Alexei Tikhomirov in December will perform in the title role of Sotnik in Stanisław Moniuszko's opera "Pebbles" ("Halka"at Vienna's Theater an der Wien.Theater an der Wien, Das Opernhaus). The musical director of the production is Łukasz Borowicz.

Premiere performances will take place on December 15, 17, 19, 22, 29 and 31.

The plot of the opera was borrowed from a poem of the same name by the progressive writer W. Wolski (1825-1882), with which Moniuszko became acquainted in 1846. The author of the poem wrote the libretto, and the opera was completed in 1847. On January 1, 1848, "Pebbles" was performed in concert by local music lovers, as there was no opera house in Vilna. On January 1, 1858 the Warsaw premiere of the opera took place, which was a triumphant success. Contemporaries saw it as the birth of Polish national opera.
