On December 4 Elena Guseva will perform the role of Liza in Tchaikovsky's opera "Queen of Spades" on the stage of the Tatar Jalil Opera and Ballet Theater in Kazan.

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's great creation was a new word not only in the composer's own work, but also in the development of all Russian opera of the last century. None of the Russian composers, except Mussorgsky, managed to achieve such irresistible power of dramatic impact and depth of penetration into the most secret corners of the human soul, to reveal the complex world of the subconscious, unaccountably driving human actions and deeds.
