Moscow theater "NEW BALLET" presents "PUSHKIN.EXTRACT"

On December 17, 2019, on the stage of the Modern Theater, Moscow's New Ballet Theater will present to the public the premiere of the ballet "Pushkin.Shot" - a choreographic version of the poet's biography and one of the works of Pushkin's famous cycle "The Tales of Belkin", which is put by critics "above the rest" in the production of Moscow choreographer Ekaterina Kislova.

Pushkin's heroes are transformed into symbolic characters of the author's life, who passed with him the path of honor, revenge and forgiveness. Love, his Muse, keeps the poet in a constant game with death until the fatal bullet catches up with him.

The ballet's director, Ekaterina Kislova, enriches and updates the well-known plot by boldly combining it with the life of Pushkin himself, and also allows the audience to get a stronger insight into the poet's inner world, his genius, tragedy and nobility.

The music, written especially for this ballet by composer Victor Maminov, will be performed by a quartet of musicians - the permanent characters of the performance and will once again emphasize the modernity of the eternal themes touched upon in the work.
