A monument to the famous opera singer Dmitry Hvorostovsky was erected in Krasnoyarsk. The monument was erected in the park located on the lower level of the Siberian State Institute of Arts. It was in this educational institution that the singer received his education. Last year a capsule with Hvorostovsky's ashes was laid there.

The authors of the project were sculptor and Honored Artist of Russia Vladimir Usov and architect and member of the Union of Architects of Russia, associate professor of the Sculpture Department of the Siberian State Institute of Arts Andrei Kasatkin.

The singer's legacy is carefully honored in Krasnoyarsk.The Institute of Arts, the Opera and Ballet Theater, a children's music school and an international airport bear his name.
