A chamber laboratory in which the Silver Age phenomenon appears in its fullest incarnation, revealing the worldview dilemmas and subtle lyricism of a lost paradise.
The program is a unique synthesis of chamber vocal art and visual poetry. Accompanied by the piano, exquisite romances to poems by Silver Age poets such as Blok, Akhmatova, Tsvetaeva, Severyanin and Sologub will be performed. Each romance is a musical portrait of the era, an embodiment of its trembling soul, philosophical quests and refined sensuality.
But sound takes on a new dimension: each piece of music is complemented by a "revived" painting from the early 20th century. The shadows begin to move, the colors shimmer, the subjects of the paintings gently unfold, creating a lively dialog with the sounding romance.
Performers:
Lyubov Petrova (soprano)
Pavel Nebolsin (piano)
The program may be modified and other voices may be included.
