NEOPERA project

Dmitri decided not to stop there and in May 2013 presented a solo program - the project "NEOPERA - New Classics of Dmitri Yankovsky". "NEOPERA" is a surprisingly harmonious synthesis of classical, pop, rock music, other modern musical trends and academic vocals, leaving no one indifferent! This style of performance - classical crossover - has already won recognition abroad, having entered the list of nominations of the FGrammy "Grammy" music award. In this genre work such stars as: Andrea Bocelli, Alessandro Safina, the group "Il divo" and others. In our country this direction is still developing and Dmitry Yankovsky is one of the first performers working in this style in Russia.

This is how Dmitry himself characterized his project: "NEOPERA is my view of how the modern world of music in Russia should develop. NEOPERA combines different and seemingly incompatible directions in music: opera, pop music, rock, beat boxing, rap and others. I don't want to limit the audience and myself to one style. I love beautiful music, and it doesn't matter who and when it was written. As a performer I want to bring to you what you may not have noticed or rejected in music before, but when you hear a different sound, you will understand, love and discover new music - my "New Classics"".

In 2014, the project "NEOPERA" won the IV international competition "TEREM-CROSSOVER - vocal version" in the nomination "Solo Vocal", and also won the "Audience Award". In 2018, the project "NEOPERA" became the winner in the nomination "Best Crossover Project" of the first NCA - Saint Petersburg Music Awards.
