Verdi's sumptuous opera "The Masquerade Ball" staged by Dmitry Bertman is back at the Helikon Opera. It has everything that can attract a modern spectator: an exciting plot, the richness and expressiveness of the vocal parts, the brilliance of the orchestra, the skill of the ensembles.... It is not by chance that Verdi's opera is called "the most melodramatic of melodramas".
