Second stream of the Opera Institute Educational Project

The educational project "Opera Institute" for opera soloists, teachers and concertmasters implemented by the Premier Art Agency for the second time won the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives grant competition!

The Premier Art Agency received grant support, proving for the second time the value and demand for such a project today.

The second stream of the "Opera Institute" solves the problem of inaccessibility of professional educational programs from world-class teachers and musicians for young opera singers from different regions of Russia. The first stream of the project in 2022 showed that not only students and aspiring soloists need additional lessons in vocal training and in the four singing languages (Russian, Italian, German, French), but also soloists of Russian opera theaters who are already members of their companies.

Applications were received from more than 55 regions of the Russian Federation in the first stream of the project. In the second stream of the project, applications were submitted from more than 60 regions, as well as from Donbass and Kherson Oblast.

The second stream of the project presents an improved educational program aimed at solving another global problem in the field of music education - learning parts. New areas of work with the director and conductor have been introduced for the formation of the artist's stage image!

The key stage is for participants to learn parts from the opera selected by the experts and perform it in concert on the Moscow stage after offline preparation. One of the soloists of the gala concert will be selected by user voting on the project website: https://operainstitute.ru/.

Based on the results of the project, the best students will be included in the Premier Art Agency's singer base.

Among the teachers of the project are Marina Meshcheryakova, Honored Artist of Russia, Agunda Kulaeva, Honored Artist of Russia, Lyubov Petrova, guest soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia and the Metropolitan Opera, Khachatur Badalyan, soloist of the E.V. Kolobov Moscow New Opera Theater, as well as Daria Arsentieva, Yugo Marten, Nikita Prokhozhev, George Vivdich, Sergei Bulanov, Georgi Shivdich, and Georgi Bulanov. Daria Arsentieva, Yugo Martin, Nikita Prokhozhev, Georg Vivdich, Sergei Bulanov, Georgy Shilov, Ekaterina Filonova, Evgenia Samoilova, Mikhail Kolegov, Alexei Trifonov, Maria Mitina and others.

The project is realized in close cooperation with the Elena Obraztsova Foundation, continuing Elena Vasilyevna's initiatives and ideas to support young gifted opera singers.
